The Marchas Populares Are Coming

The Marchas Populares celebrate the popular saints in June with neighbourhood groups competing in choreographed processions — costumes, music, performances rehearsed for months. Three nights at Praça do Infante on 11, 12 and 13 June 2026. The crowd is local in a way unusual for a tourist season event. All free. Nothing like it anywhere else.
